My name is Giorgos and I am currently working as a Sr. Software Engineer in the AI team of Workable in Athens. My role focuses on productizing AI features, managing microservices, and optimizing system scalability and performance, mainly using Python.
Previously, I was working at Skroutz, the leading e-commerce platform in Greece, as a backend engineer, focusing on the merchant’s order management and data insights, using Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
I have also been working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Network Management & Optimal Design Laboratory (NETMODE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) where I obtained my PhD in 2021 and my Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2015. My research interests lie in the areas of ad-hoc networks and autonomous systems, multimedia technologies, social networks, computer networks and services, and recommendation systems for enhancing user experience. My latest research focused on the incorporation of behavioral characteristics of users in the decision making process for the allocation of network resources via Prospect Theory.
